Celebrating the Arts

There is a long-running history to the bi-annual Spring Productions. GLC’s first production was in 1997 with the school-wide production, Pinocchio, directed by Ron Butterfield. Since then, eleven productions have come to life on the stage you see today. While each production brings its own story and themes, some traditions have been repeated. For instance, the school-wide t-shirts our students perform in, the one-of-a-kind backdrop and the all-call for community volunteers! These have been “must-haves” of our current and previous productions fostering a sense of pride and accomplishment in both students and volunteers.

We’re proud that all students participate and that each classroom has the chance to showcase their talents through song, dance, and art. As we thrill to see our littlest learners take the stage for the first time, we also remember that their parents might be GLC alumni! Alongside those who grew up with GLC productions, we have new families to the area experiencing their first spring production. Support for their child’s participation guarantees an early and ongoing appreciation (dare we say, “love”) of the arts.

Behind every production are the countless hours of preparation by staff, students and volunteers. To this, we also add the financial support through donations, t-shirt purchases, tickets and materials used for props, construction and miscellaneous extras. We are grateful for the individuals who have collectively contributed to bring this amazing show to our audiences!

We hope you have had opportunities to enjoy your previous shows and that, you will find yourselves in our audience in the years to come!
